KIDS FOR CHRIST (Children’s Ministry Program) Attention Parents of Children Birth through 5th Grade: Beginning today please sign your child into the Children’s Ministry Welcome Room before the service. Your child will receive a name tag and will then be able to leave with Mrs. Shannon after the Children’s Message. If you are unable to sign your child in before Church please bring your child after the Children’s Message to be signed in. No children will be allowed in the Rich Building unless their parent has appropriately signed them in. Thanks for your help on making our Children’s Ministry safe for all.

Our Church is planning a Mission Trip to the New Life Center in Kitwe, Zambia in 2013. The New Life Center is the Mission founded and run by Delbert & Sandy Groves, with who we have been in Covenant relationship for close to 20 years. The dates are August 2 – 18, 2013. We don’t know at this point exactly what we will be doing, but one very strong possibility is building a church. There are many opportunities at New Life to serve and to learn so we will be busy and productive in whatever Delbert & Sandy have for us to do. The trip will include a few days of sightseeing, the highlight being a visit to Victoria Falls. We can accommodate a group up to 15, although a smaller group of 8 – 10 will work just as well. Age is not important and there will be opportunities to contribute in ways that do not require a lot of physical exertion. The total cost will run between $3,500 to $4,000, although we plan to do a lot of things to offset these costs through fundraisers and scholarships. Cherub Choir (VPK-Grade 1) and Kids Choir (Grades 2-5) sing at the 11:00 a.m. worship services on February 12th, March 4th, April 1st (Palm Sunday), April 8th (Easter), April 22nd, and May 13th (Mother’s Day). Youth Choir (Teens) sing/ring in the 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. worship services on February 12th, March 18th, April 8th (Easter), April 22nd, and May 13th (Mother’s Day).

Save The Date! The Women’s Ministry will have their 2012 Winter Event called A “Different Kind of Love” on Sunday, February 12th. This event is Potluck with a Chocolate Bar ~5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Family Life Center. Cost is $5.00. We’re encouraging men and women to come and hear our keynote speaker Dr. Jo Clifford, a Christian Counselor, talk to us about forgiveness of self and others. Nursery will be provided.

Youth Ministry - Summer Camp – Registration for Warren Willis is going on now. Ocala First will go to camp July 16th-21st. If you are interested a $50.00 deposit is due by February 15th. Please see Stacey Spence for details.

Mark your calendars! On Sunday, February 19th at 6:30 p.m. in the Family Life Center the FUMC Praise Band will have a public concert to benefit our Tuesday Morning Outreach Ministries Program. We hope you will join us for a fun evening featuring music of diverse styles and origins that speak to our faith. Everyone is invited, so please invite your friends, co-workers, etc.! Admission is FREE. Childcare for nursery to Pre-K will be provided.
