Children’s Ministry

The children’s programs here at First Church are provided under the name of “Kids for Christ (KFC)” and cover kindergarten through 5th grade. Safety is a priority at First Church, thus, all volunteers undergo a background check to ensuring the safety of all children.

Mission Statement

The Children's Ministry will nurture families as they build a spiritual foundation that will lead to a relationship with Jesus Christ. We will provide an environment in which children are safe, and taught at an age appropriate level.

Programs

KFC Wednesday Nights: Interactive programming is the focus of the Wednesday night experience. Activities run from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm each week in room 205. Childcare is provided until 8:30 pm for children whose parents are in bible study.

Sunday Mornings:

Each Sunday morning, Sunday School is offered at 9:45 am and 11:00 am for children K-5. Check-in is in room 204. The morning begins with a large group gathering time followed by individual classroom time by grade level.

Children's sermons are given during our 8:30 am and 11:00 am worship services. Children's bulletins are available in all three services for those children attending services with their families.

Seasonal: During the year, several fun events are offered for the children and their families. These activities include (1) an Easter egg hunt, (2) Vacation Bible School, (3) Rocktoberfest and (4) a special Children's Christmas Eve service.
